Sustaina Club Webinar: One Tree One Student

The Sustaina Club Webinar was successfully conducted by the BITM NSS Unit in alignment with the AICTE One Student One Tree 2023 initiative at the BITM Auditorium. The event aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices among students and staff. The session was inaugurated by watering a plant, symbolizing the importance of tree plantation, and featured a keynote address highlighting the role of youth in environmental conservation. With active participation from faculty members and over 250 students, the event effectively inspired attendees to contribute towards a greener and more sustainable future.

On the occasion of World Environment Day – 2023 & one student one tree initiative, a plantation drive was also organized and successfully conducted by the Department of Chemistry in association with ICC, IQAC, NSS, and BITM Sustaina, on 20-07-2023 at the BITM campus, Allipur, Ballari. The program was initiated with the objective of creating awareness about environmental protection, promoting sustainable living practices, and emphasizing the urgent need for afforestation to combat climate change and ecological degradation. Faculty members addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of conserving natural resources and the role of youth in building a greener future. As part of the drive, around 60 saplings of various plant species were planted at selected locations across the campus to enhance greenery and improve the overall campus ecosystem. A total of 60 students and 09 faculty members actively participated in the activity, demonstrating enthusiasm, teamwork, and a strong sense of environmental responsibility. The event not only contributed to increasing green cover but also instilled a sense of social commitment and collective responsibility among the participants towards protecting and preserving the environment for future generations.
