The IEEE Student Branch at BITM organized a Faculty Development Program on “Smart and Sustainable Agriculture: Leveraging AI, IoT, and Big Data for Societal Impact” from 15th to 20th September 2025 at Ballari Institute of Technology and Management. The program focused on exploring the role of modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Big Data in transforming agricultural practices towards sustainability and efficiency. The sessions were designed to provide participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical insights into smart agriculture solutions.
The program began with an introduction to data-driven agriculture, highlighting how AI and data analytics can enhance crop productivity and optimize decision-making.
