The BITM Sustaina Club successfully organized the Sanganakallu Trekking Program as an eco-awareness initiative to promote environmental responsibility, physical fitness, and heritage conservation among students. The eco-trek began with participants assembling at the BITM campus followed by a brief orientation on eco-friendly trekking and heritage conservation. The group then travelled to Sanganakallu and commenced the trek, exploring the historic hills, prehistoric rock formations, the ecological and archaeological significance of the Sanganakallu hills and natural landscapes. Throughout the trek, guidance was provided by Dr. Manjunath on the importance of preserving natural and cultural heritage by following sustainability practices and environmental responsibility. The event concluded with a reflection session and the Zero-Waste Trekking Pledge leaving students motivated towards teamwork, environmental commitment, and responsible citizenship.
