Dr. Naseeruddin, the resource person, outlined various types of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) in both the Indian and global contexts. He explored the history of patents and other IPRs worldwide. The significance of the knowledge economy was also introduced to the participants, emphasizing the role of intangible assets in the economic growth of countries and tech giants like Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, and Google. Dr. Naseeruddin further discussed the critical importance of IPR protection for startups and entrepreneurs. A case study was presented, focusing on the nurturing of various startups in relation to IPR. The participants were highly engaged and excited to learn about the importance of being innovative and protecting their innovations.
