This department is one of the conventional and major branches of any engineering institution. The department is having qualified and dedicated staff members available for the students at all the time and the department conducts regular seminars and workshops on the recent technologies under the department forum.
The resource persons are invited from the various reputed industries and institutions and the department laboratories are spacious and facilitated with modern equipment to carry out all the experiments as per the university curriculum along with additional design-based experiments are conducted to enhance the technical skills of the students.

With the ever-growing demand for Electrical and Electronics Engineers across all sectors, the department emphases on training students with strong academic knowledge in the frontier areas including electrical, electronics, and IT-related engineering, and also preparing them to face real-world challenges.
The department has highly experienced faculty members who display a high level of dedication and enthusiasm towards both teaching and state-of-the-art research. The faculty possess sound knowledge in emerging research areas such as Adaptive & Robust control schemes for power electronic applications, Power systems, Electrical machines, Electric drives, Electric vehicles and energy management, Power system optimization, Active distribution networks, Home energy management, and Smart grid technologies. Our faculty members continue their respective research projects and publish their articles in reputed national and international journals.
The department is proactive in organizing various workshops, technical talks, industrial visits, and seminars through the departmental forum, “Circuit Riders” and clubs, to enhance the knowledge and skills of both faculty and students in cutting-edge technologies. Students are highly encouraged to implement their innovative research ideas with the guidance of expert faculty members by utilising standard research lab facilities. Currently, the department offers a four-year undergraduate program, B.E. (Electrical and Electronics Engineering), as well as a Ph.D. program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering specializations. The curriculum is designed to align with both current and future industry requirements, particularly in the context of Industry 4.0. Graduates of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering program have a wide range of career opportunities in power industries, government PSUs, R&D units, IT industries, electricity boards/utility companies, telecommunications industries, manufacturing industries, private industrial firms, and start-up companies.
