Power Electronics and Power Systems Club
Overview of the Club
The club aims to provide engineering students with a platform to explore, learn, and innovate in power electronics and in power systems. This would involve filling the gap between theory and practical.
Activities of the Club:
Organizing Workshops/ Guest Lectures/ Tech talks.
Organizing Student development programs.
Conduct awareness programs.
Organizing industrial visits.
Organizing collaborative projects exhibitions.
Objectives of the Club
To conduct periodic tech talks on the areas of power converters, inverters, motor drives, renewable energy systems, and power system protection.
To organize workshops on the designing and building of power electronic circuits and power systems such as power supplies, converters, controllers.
To organize guest lectures from academia and industry on the current trends, challenges, and innovations in Power Electronics and in Power Systems.
To organize visits to power plants, manufacturing units, and research labs to get real-life experience and understand industry practices.
To inculcate research /innovative projects and motivate publishing/presenting them in journals/conferences.
