Engineering is learned through the language of Mathematics

Engineering Mathematics is the art of applying mathematics to complex real-world problems. It combines mathematical theory, practical engineering, and scientific computing to address today's technological challenges.

It is a creative and exciting discipline, that spans traditional boundaries. Engineering mathematicians can be found in an extraordinarily wide range of careers, from designing next-generation Formula One Cars to working at the cutting edge of robotics, from running their own business creating new autonomous vehicles to developing innovative indices for leading global financial institutions.

Earlier Mathematics department was under the Humanities & Science and a separate Department was established in year 2003.

The department has well-qualified and experienced staff with six doctorates & three are pursuing PhD

The department is a recognized research center under VTU.

Engineering is learned through the language of Mathematics

Engineering Mathematics is the art of applying mathematics to complex real-world problems. It combines mathematical theory, practical engineering and scientific computing to address today’s technological challenges.

It is a creative and exciting discipline, spanning traditional boundaries. Engineering mathematicians can be found in an extraordinarily wide range of careers, from designing next generation Formula One Cars to working at the cutting edge of robotics, from running their own business creating new autonomous vehicles to developing innovative indices for leading global financial institutions.

Earlier Mathematics department was under Humanities & Science and separate Department is established in the year 2003.

The department has well qualified and experienced staff with six doctorates & three are pursuing PhD

The department is a recognized research centre under VTU.

VISION AND MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT

Vision:

To develop Mathematical skills, so that students can Excel in Technical education and research.

Mission:

  • To develop analytical and logical thinking.
  • To develop the Mathematical skills for solving Engineering problems.
