Faculty & Students:
The institute has 120 well qualified, committed and motivated faculty members across Ten Departments. 07 faculty members have already received their Ph.D. from reputed universities and more than 20 members are registered for their Research Programme. The primary mission of the institute is to educate the students and to discover and disseminate knowledge through research.
A unique teacher guardian scheme is implemented, where each student is monitored by the teacher and feed back by students on faculty.
In house training and projects, encouragement to R&D, Training on soft skills, helps in improvement of the skill-set of the students to prepare for corporate environment. Workshops and Personality developments, Industry Institution Interactions are regular activities on campus.
The campus provides a congenial atmosphere in which students from all over India create lifelong friendships. BITM has enabled over 1800 graduate engineers step out from its portals to make mark for themselves. Its alumni are serving a broad cross section of society in many prestigious industries /organizations.
More than 300 students are staying in hostel on the campus and off the campus for their graduate studies.
BIMT has a strong Governing Body, wherein the members are pooled from different professions like; academicians from well known educational institutions, Industrialists, Medical & Software professionals and Chartered Accountants.
BITM has taken new initiatives; the institute organizes conferences, seminars and guest lecturers from experts from industries and research organizations on regular basis. This keeps the faculty and students to abreast with latest technology. The institute is also a centre for research & specialized studies in engineering science. The institute values scholarly research i.e., interdisciplinary relevant. BITM is committed to achieve excellence in technical education and research; it evaluates the success and leadership of its programs using highest standards of quality, innovation and visibility.
I have recently visited BITM and saw the campus developed by 10 fold compared to what it was during 1999-2003. I can say simply one of the best institutions in the region, according to the faculty expertise and infrastructure. I am proud to be an Alumni of BITM
