This department is one of the few basic engineering branches in the college having latest machine tools and metrology facility for manufacturing and is housed in a separate premises named as “Dr.Rajgopal Block”.

1. The dept of Mechanical Engg is also equipped with high end CAD/CAM software and CNC machines in its lab, which in addition to the academics also caters to the research and analysis.
2. The students are exposed to the latest trends related to Mechanical Enggineering applications, some of the projects carried out by the students have brought the laurels to the department. This has been possible only due to the dedication, sincerity and hard work of the faculty.
3. The faculties are encouraged to update their knowledge by attending workshops, seminars & conferences.
4. Mechanical Engineers are concerned with all types of machinery, and all aspects of their mechanism and functioning; the design, development, construction, production, installation and operation of all mechanical systems in industries, including power plants, transport equipment, air-conditioning, boilers, refrigerators, and internal combustion.
5. The department has been continuously recording best results in all the semesters.
6. The Labs are well equipped with latest gadgets like Auto Collimeter, Profile Projector, Tool Maker’s Microscope, CAD Lab with latest software, etc.,
