I Year:
Admission to the first year of the course are open to students, who have passed either of the following examinations:
The 2 year Pre-University Course examinations (Science) conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board / The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as optional subjects and English as a medium of Study / Any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.
The candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Physics & Mathematics as compulsory and any of the following subjects; Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science of 10+2 / PUC / CBSE / ICSE Examination or any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto for General Merit and 45% for SC/ST and OBC.

MBA
Academic Eligibility: MBA (FT): Admission to MBA course shall be open for the candidates who have passed the Bachelor degree with not less than fifty percent i.e. integer 50% (rounding-off of aggregate percent is not permitted) of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations. However, in the case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC / ST and Category I, the aggregate percent of marks of all the years of the qualifying examination shall not be less than forty five percent i.e. integer 45% (rounding -off of aggregate percent is not permitted).
Note: PGCET/K-MAT Entrance is compulsory.
MCA
Graduates of any discipline with 50% aggregate marks for General and 45% for Candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST & Category-I, provided the candidate has passed with Maths / Statistics / Computer Science / Computer Programming / Computer Applications / Business Maths / Business Statistics as one of the optional or electives in their bachelors degree.
M.Tech.
Option:1 – A candidate with valid GATE score.
Option:2 – A candidate who has passed prescribed qualifying examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects for all the years is eligible for M.Tech. Course. 45% of marks for SC/ ST and Category-I candidates.
I have recently visited BITM and saw the campus developed by 10 fold compared to what it was during 1999-2003. I can say simply one of the best institutions in the region, according to the faculty expertise and infrastructure. I am proud to be an Alumni of BITM
